Goals and Course Description Hello Scholars, I’m so happy you are studying with me! In this class we will learn together, create together, write together, and grow together. Course Expectations
1. Attendance is necessary to keep up with the class. However, if a student misses' class, they are required to make up missed work in a timely manner (1 day for each excused day missed, after which deductions will be made for late work). •2. Students are expected to be on time in their meetings. •3.Students are required to participate in class and be respectful to their peers, themselves, and their teachers. •4.Plagiarism and cheating have no place in a community of learners. If a student is suspected of plagiarism or cheating, the parents and the principal will be notified, and consequences will be determined. •5.Students are required to keep up with their assigned reading and turn in assignments on time.
Disruptions and discipline in the classroom:
We are in a learning environment and we need to give common courtesy to each other. Disruptions to the learning environment will be dealt with the following ways. · First time—Warning · Second time—Asked to move · Third time—Call home and removed from class · If you are still a disruption than interventions will be followed ** There are exceptions to this for major offences
Class room Rules
•Show up a FEW MINUTES before class time and wait to be admitted into the class. •Find a QUIET PLACE free of distractions (siblings, télévision, parents, pets, etc.). •Always maintain RESPECT in speaking, writing, & appearance. •Stay on MUTE. Click the “raise hand” button if you would like to contribute. •Video needs to remain Onto promote focus. •EYE CONTACT should be maintained. •REFRAIN FROM chewing gum, eating, or drinking. •DO NOT USE cellphones or other electronic devices that are not your primary Zoom device. Stay ON TASK, Be Focused and Solution oriented. Be the Example
